FOUNDER
Melissa Sun is a 25 year PR & Brand communications veteran.
She began her career in broadcast news at KSBW-TV and NBC Los Angeles’ Emmy-Award winning primetime broadcast.
She spent a decade in Hollywood, as VP at Stan Rosenfield & Associates, representing a broad range of actors, filmmakers and entertainment. Highlights include helping launch award-winning tv shows Breaking Bad and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and helping secure two Oscars, three Emmy’s, and three Golden Globe awards on behalf of clients.
Her work supporting the launch of George Clooney’s nonprofit Not On Our Watch, inspired a shift to the intersection of culture and impact. She moved to Sierra Club, the largest environmental org in the US, to run Entertainment Partnerships and Brand Marketing. Highlights include founding the Arts + Entertainment Council with members including Darren Aronofsky, Olivia Munn, and Jeff Bridges; developing the first-ever virtual reality PSA narrated by Jared Leto; and producing the #ActInParis comedy show featuring Amy Schumer.
In 2024, after a second stint at Rosenfield Media Group to start-up a Purpose Division, she founded Swerve Communications to support an even wider range of cultural leaders and changemakers.
Melissa studied film and international politics at UC Irvine and University of Hong Kong.
